10-09-2007 - $7.5 million USD Peak Shaving project commissioned

Ely Energy successfully commissioned the City Utilities SNG Peak Shaving facility in Springfield Missouri. The design / build contract was awarded to Ely Energy on a public tender in mid 2006. Bidders were evaluated based on credentials, capabilities, technical submittals as well at their commercial package. A completion and dedication ceremony, hosted by City Utilities was conducted on 24 October. Attending were the local press, Ely Energy representatives, city officials and CU personnel. The $7.5 million USD project was recognized as being one of the best CU has engaged in and Ely Energy was recognized as an excellent "partner".
